A qualified accountant, Gary Fifer has practiced for 30 years in his own tax practice and specializes in operational, financial and management systems for the performing arts.
Mr Fifer is on the consulting committee for the National Institute of Accountants with the Tax Office, and his firm was instrumental in obtaining the first GST Ruling for the Performing Arts industry. He has a detailed understanding of the responsibilities and legal obligations of company directorships as well as comprehensive knowledge on trading structures and tax relationships with clients., both in the public and private sectors. His knowledge of the venue, arts and event management sectors in Australia include Government support protocols, compliance guidelines and relevant statutes and regulations.
