Privacy Policy
Pegasus is committed to observing the 10 National Privacy Principles as set out in the Privacy Amendment Act (Private Sector) 2000. The principles outline what it required in the matters of:
- Collection.
- Use and Disclosure.
- Data Quality.
- Data Security.
- Openness.
- Access and Correction.
- Identifiers.
- Anonymity.
- Transborder data flow.
- Sensitive Information.
There are several ways in which Pegasus obtains and uses information. Any personal contact details (or other details) supplied to us by you are stored in Pegasus databases for the purposes of compiling data relevant to the business practices (refer Pegasus Business / Mission Statement) of the company.
We will retain your name and mailing information and you may be sent information unless you advise that you do not want to receive such communication. The company and its respective venues are subject to and comply at all times with the Privacy Act 1988. Pegasus does not, unless required by law, disclose personal information it has collected to other organisations. If at any time you wish not to receive any further communication from this company, please let us know.
In accordance with the Privacy Principles, Pegasus will only collect personal information if it is:
- Necessary for one or more of our functions or activities.
- Collected lawfully and by fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive manner with consent.
Should you choose not to provide information to Pegasus, we may be unable to conduct our contracted business with you in accordance with the objectives of such projects or it may impede our ability to provide a requested service.
A document outlining your rights outlined in the National Privacy Principles is available to you by request either from the Pegasus head office, any Pegasus managed venue or by visiting www.privacy.gov.au Each venue under the management of Pegasus also has it’s own Privacy Statement and policy (incorporating LPA member guidelines) relating to ticket sales and other transactions carried out as part of it’s day to day business. These are available directly from the venues.
